TOO LITTLE TOO LATE

you had a lot of time
but you squandered the chance
to let me feel that you are here
while I regain my stance
i was waiting patiently
to hear a word from you
but I can’t break the silence
so there’s nothing I can do

it was a tough battle
my body did not prevail
i tried hard but I knew
i can no longer beat the scale
my journey has ended
i ran out of time
i can no longer wait
so I wrote the final rhyme

too late the hero
too little too late
the hope for something better
might not really worth the wait

catching my breath
i got rid of all my fears
death’s no longer a threat
knowing that the end is near
the demise of the body
is not the real loss
the real death ensues
when we live without a cause

i will live forever
with or without your part
my dream can’t be stopped
even with the failure of my heart
my world will continue
with or without your sign
my timeline will reside
within other peoples’ mind

too late the hero
too little too late
the hope for something better
might not really worth the wait

too late the hero
too little too late
the tons of praises
have already lost their weight
