the cycle seems unchanged
chances are depleted
the struggle's prearranged
brought so much positivity
the weight's lighter this time
hoping against hope
to survive this uphill climb
going for another shot
running this crowded race
each cuts to the chase
to secure a narrow space
numbers say it all
it's going down to the wire
more entrants will just
add more fuel to the fire
promises are nothing
when expectations are high
discontent is imminent
when leaving people high and dry
this is a sad reality
but we've to keep on moving on
because a new life often begins
outside of our comfort zones
