the space is filled with drama
from minds big and small
our watchful eyes are fixated
to what is seen on the wall
curiosity mixed with envy
stimulates an online brawl
while flaunting what we have
we laugh out loud across the hall

vanity has found its way
to the path of less resistance
everything that’s happening
isn’t merely by chance
everyone inside is trapped
in a deep hypnotic trance
saturated at it may seems
we’re in for a cryptic dance

a pattern is set
this is how it is done
we follow some rules
we don’t fully understand
when lies are repeated
like a melancholic chant
a truth is then reshaped
by a fiery preacher’s rant

standards are set
choices are confined
within a fenced enclosure
and a tapered state of mind
the purpose is the just the same
though differently designed
a common cliché is spoken
a blind leading a blind

reaching an open plateau
I looked back and think
options are compelling
but I’ve to disengage a link
there’s so much ambiguity
a forecast is not in synced
voices may resonate hope
but virtues are about to sink

there’s so much emphasis
on pride and exclusivity
the road to deliverance
requires an earthly royalty
a truth is often distorted
to an alarming degree
while the subjects rejoice
with every subtle flattery

trust is now a scarcity
in a fierce battle for control
of that imaginary space
where liars are on a roll
conspiracy spoils the mood
deceit forms a filthy hole
how can I freely act
if I rely on biased role
