overwhelmed by memories

my mind drifted back in time

when I plainly made a choice

to embark on an uphill climb 

it's been quite a while

since I've started off that hike

and here I am right now

realizing what it's really like

no apologies

no regrets for all those years

lessons were taught and learned

every time I shed my tears

nobody said it would be easy

but my faith can get me through

if I listen to His promptings

then I'll know what I should do

the future's still uncertain

so much are still at stake

more paths to discover

more choices to make

the journey's far from over

the peak's not yet in sight

more memories to save

more verses for me to write
