Living in the hood an asset of a misfit
A man with a gun is talking trash and shit

Auto and semi pumping bullets here and there
Holiday gunshots violently fill the air
Christmas carols turning into long cries of despair
The deaths around the hood is something beyond repair
Drugs, petty crimes, murder, armed robbery
Multiple fatalities from an unlawful entry
Suspects, enemies, a mistaken identity
A coffin in the house instead of a Christmas tree

Its’ Christmas time in the city

Burning houses, refugees on the run
Lives are surrounded by bombs, mines and guns
There’s an exodus while nothing is being done
Dying in hunger or annihilated one by one
No other wishes but to simply live each day
But the bursts of gunfire slay their reason to stay
When ashes and smoke turned the sky into gray
With fewer options the only way out is to pray
