LAY IT ON THE LINE

Life is uncertain people come and go
We are here today maybe gone tomorrow
We’re indeed very lucky if we’re given a chance
To say our parting words and ask for one more glance

But life is strange we can’t simply explain
We’re doing great today next day we’ll be in pain
We smile and laugh, do a lot of crazy things
But with a twist of fate we may have to cut the strings

While there’s still time, let’s lay it on the line
While there’s still time, let’s lay it on the line

I know it won’t be easy to accept the hands of fate
Because most of the time we simply just can’t wait
We choose to deny what we really feel inside
But there are certainties that we can’t simply hide

Acceptance is the key if we want to move on
We’ve our own shares of pain, we are not alone
Illness can reduce our physiques to a wraith
The best that we can do is to hold on to our faith

While there’s still time, let’s lay it on the line
While there’s still time, let’s lay it on the line
