REASONS UNKNOWN (Remembering Anthony Bourdain)

“Maybe that’s enlightenment enough: to know that there is no final resting place of the mind; no moment of smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom...is realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go.” -Anthony Bourdain

When words no longer make sense anymore
It’s time to pack up and move to a distant shore
When gross duplicity overwhelms you to the core
The only thing to do is to stop asking for more

You can’t insist what they’re not willing to accept
If they don’t care they won’t value your precept
Words are useless if you can’t simply connect
Deny this truth and you will lose your self-respect

Time's not an assurance that you will see eye to eye
More often than not you'll be asking why oh why?
Comparison won’t stop no matter how hard you try
It will be too late to realize it’s all been a big fat lie

Reasons unknown we make our own decisions
Leaving more gray areas and unanswered questions
Secrets are kept while we are running out of options
Silence is the unlikely path of our concealed emotions
