is turning into a hobby
a primal urge is tempting
it’s addictive to some degree
offensives are being launched
against those groups who disagree
words are transformed into weapons
the timeline’s a target of a shooting spree
lines are being drawn
the political division is clear
name calling now reverberates
each group shouts a rousing cheer
a historical conflict will be prolonged
and will thrive in an antagonistic sphere
relationships will bear the incurable wounds
inflicted by retribution and reconditioned fear
