a scene no one likes to see
moments filled with goodbyes
memories of distant past
flashed back before my eyes
letting go isn’t that easy
yet it is the only way
sometimes what we do
is different from what we say
it was indeed a tough fight
but the spirit showed no fear
in the midst of struggle
your faith remained sincere
it isn’t a perfect life
but you did your very best
God rest your soul
after this grueling final test
an uninviting sight
for all those who truly care
this isn’t just something
i can simply accept and bear
that last moment I heard you
whispering my name
reminds me that my life
will never ever be the same
