A WEDDING POEM

there you are right now

walking along the aisle

a beauty dressed in white

wearing that perfect smile

i can see you from here

moving slowly with the man

who will entrust your heart to me

so I can forever hold your hand

few more steps my love

and you’ll be here with me

we’ll make our vows together

before we start our family

few more steps my love

and we’ll jointly tie the knot

a beginning of our story

we’re going to write our plot

i just can’t imagine

how this has come to be

that few moments from now

you’ll be standing here with me

you and I as one

our life together has just begun

i am blessed to have you

after all is said and done

now that you’re here with me

we’ll say the words “I do”

a confirmation of our love

that will endure because it’s true

then as we wear our wedding rings

and gently kiss each other’s lips

our hearts became as one

inside are the promises to keep

i just can’t imagine
how this has come to be
that few moments from now
