they’ve started it all
countless will pay the price
a war has just begun
there’ll be no warning device
skirmishes are all around
random targets are on sight
shots fired from a distance
someone’s picking a fight
familiar with the terrain
enemies play hide and seek
appearing to be strong
within they’re colored clique
covering both flanks
their bullets ricochet
caught in between
are their unsuspecting prey
shots from different directions
crosshairs on a single mark
turncoats are on a mission
to ignite and fuel the spark
this conflict won’t ever end
the enmity is too deep
shots will be fired
while lives become too cheap
