PROXY WAR

Power brokers from a foreign land
Collude with those who are in command
Making a killing with an invisible hand
Spreading the conflict is simply well-planned

Picking their fights but they don’t engage
They prefer to watch all the wars they wage
A dubious contract is signed on every page
The broken ground creates a landing stage

Cry for liberation in the name of democracy
A chaotic aftermath is a troubled society
A never-ending tale of unabated infamy
Minds are imprisoned in lies and bigotry

A proxy war then is just a business affair
Turning carnage into a recurring nightmare
Where people are dying, blood is everywhere
A man-made vacuum becomes a warlord’s lair
