some situations are beyond our control
some matters are beyond our reach
there are things we cannot change
there are lessons we can’t teach
no matter how good our intentions are
we can only do so much
some will value what we’ve done
some are simply out of touch
some eyes are hooked on us
some are doomed to compare
they will always yearn for more
ignore what was already there
there is nothing we can do
if they look the other way
they will always find a reason
to be ungrateful every single day
